Signs of Spring

Some of you who follow our Facebook page will have seen that we already have snowdrops out in the garden, including the lovely Galanthus plicatus “Three Ships” pictured here.   I have also been writing about other winter flowering plants in the current edition of Living North Magazine. Beautiful snowdrops and aconites peeking through the snow are a sure sign that the daffodils and tulips of spring won’t be far behind. We manage Stillingfleet Garden as an environment for wildlife, so it is always very exciting when we are rewarded by plenty of wildlife. David Baker, who many of you have met at the Wildlife Day, is a moth expert and regularly sets his moth traps in the garden. He was very excited by the latest finds from his traps at the end of July.
