On this full day workshop you will learn to make a willow trug, a beautiful item to use in your garden. This is a beginners course, led by Leilah Vyner of Dragon Willow, who will teach you the techniques of weaving a sturdy trug out of pliable and colourful English willows. This course sold out in 2022, so early booking is recommended.
Weaving is an amazingly addictive and relaxing traditional craft. You will end the day with a unique trug to take home and and perhaps even apply the skills you learn to making more baskets at home. Trugs are perfect for carrying your cut flowers, vegetables or fruit from the garden back to the house, or for carrying your seed packets out to the garden.
All materials are provided, but please bring a packed lunch.
