Milford Hedgehogs

Milford Hedgehogs are a Hedgehog Rescue based in South Milford, North Yorkshire and we are delighted that they will be joining us for the first time at our Wildlife Day 2026.

The aims of the group are:
– track and monitor the population of wild hedgehogs within and around South Milford and Sherburn
– provide tips and ideas to create and enhance hedgehog friendly gardens
– help the public to identify when a hedgehog needs help
– help the public to find help for poorly hedgehogs if out of our area
– rescue, rehabilitate and where appropriate release hedgehogs back into the wild.

In 2024 the volunteers helped over 773 hedgehogs from Leeming down to Doncaster and Halifax over to Stamford Bridge.
