Jenny Wren Felting

We are delighted to be stocking the gorgeous creations from Jenny Wren Felting in our gift shop in 2026. Based near Hornsea, fibre artist Carrie creates intricate bird sculptures using ethically sourced wool, florist wire, glass and acrylic paint. We know that our visitors will love these sculptures.

Carrie’s lifelong love of nature is at the heart of her work. Her fascination with birds was nurtured by her late mum, who affectionately called all wrens “Jenny”, a name that inspired Carrie’s creative alias.

Garden birds especially captivate her, and she delights in capturing the finer details of their plumage and their unique characters. Carrie’s work is heavily influenced by the changing seasons and the arrival of fledgling and juvenile birds into the garden is sure to inspire a new sculpture.

Her portfolio also includes larger birds such as Wood Pigeons, Magpies, Lapwings, Curlews, and other waders. A personal dream of keeping chickens one day has sparked a joyful exploration of sculpting chickens and cockerels using a range of felting techniques.

Carrie welcomes commissions and enjoys bringing bespoke bird sculptures to life.
