Is Foliage More Important than Flowers?
June 17 at 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Cost: £45
Join us for an inspiring new workshop that explores the question: “Is foliage more important than flowers?”
Set within the beautiful gardens of Stillingfleet, garden owner Vanessa Cook will guide you through the often-overlooked impact of foliage in garden design. Whilst we will be focussing on plants with colourful foliage, you will also learn how leaves can provide year-round interest, enhance floral displays, and transform a space through their remarkable variety of sizes, shapes and textures.
You’ll also uncover the vital role foliage plays in supporting wildlife. While flowers feed pollinators, leaves offer essential food, shelter, and materials for natural compost within our wildlife garden.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this workshop will open your eyes to the beauty and importance of foliage in every garden.
Many of the plants that you will see in the garden are available to buy in the plant nursery, find out more here.
All courses include entry to the garden plus welcome coffee and biscuits. Unless stated, materials are provided and you will leave each workshop with plenty of reference information.
Workshop fees cannot be refunded if you cancel less than 7 days prior to date of workshop.
