Serenade at National Gardens Scheme Open Day

Our next NGS open day will take place on Sunday 11th September. This is a little bit of a bonus – partly because it means we are open on three Sundays in September and partly because we will be joined by The Chansonniers.

The Chansonniers are an early  music group who will be playing chansons and dances on  a range of instruments including voice, harp, viols, pipe and tabor and recorders. The music will be mainly C16 with a few contemporary tunes too. For those of you who are observant you may recognise some of the musicians from The Sun Assembly who played at the NGS Open Day in September 2015.

The National Gardens Scheme is a registered charity. All entry fees to Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens  and 10% of plant sales on the day will be donated to the NGS.  All money taken from refreshments on these days will be donated to St Helen’s Church, Stillingfleet.

Art in the Cafe

National Garden Scheme Exhibition

Iris by John Shepherd

This is also an ideal opportunity to catch our final Art in The Cafe exhibition for the year. It will feature the works of two botanical illustrators – John Shepherd FRPS and Caroline Holley. Their stunning detailed works are a fitting finale to our summer of art.
