How to be Cheerful about Shade in the Garden

Hellebore - one of our shade plants

April 17 at 10:00 - 12:00

Cost: £40 – 45

On this popular course led by garden owner, Vanessa Cook, you will learn plenty of tips for making the most of shade in your garden. Find out which plants to grow in east and north facing beds and under trees, as well as how to improve the soil conditions and help these shade plants to thrive.

It can sometimes be difficult to select plants that thrive in those shady places. If you struggle to choose suitable plants for shady areas in your garden, this course is for you. By using the many shade-loving plants of Stillingfleet gardens as an illustration, Vanessa will teach you how to view shade as an asset when planning your planting.

Most of the plants you will see in the garden are for sale in the plant nursery: you will see the many shade plants highlighted in green in the plant catalogue to help you plan your garden.

All courses include entry to the garden plus welcome coffee and biscuits. Unless stated,  materials are provided and you will leave each workshop with plenty of reference information.

Workshop fees cannot be refunded if you cancel less than 7 days prior to date of workshop.
