Painting the Garden in Pastels
July 20 at 10:00 - 16:30
Painting plein air to capture the delights of the garden using soft pastel.
Cath Inglis will give you a short demonstration showing the techniques she uses and the use of tonal values & colour in pastel to create a wonderful painting of the garden. This may be a single flower in an intimate corner or the friendly resident hens!
Please bring with you:
Soft pastels but not any oil pastels
A board to take an A3 size Canson paper at least! Size 18 inches x 24 inches is a good size
A free standing easel is preferred as we will be working outside in the garden and it is best to work upright using pastels.
You may also like bring a small portable table for your pastels etc.
An old tea towel for keeping the hands clean.
An old oil painting brush and a rubber (to get rid of any mistakes, pastel is very forgiving)
