ONE SPACE REMAINING – Making a Small Wire Bird
August 1 at 13:30 - 16:00
Chris Moss will be leading these half day sculpture courses where you will learn how to make a small wire bird to take home. She is able to deliver the course with social distancing measures in place, but this means there are fewer places available, so book soon. All participants will need to wear a mask or face covering.
These sculptures will be made from galvanised wire, so they will be able to be kept outside without going rusty. Materials and tools will be supplied. Please wear practical clothes (no delicate textiles).
We are delighted that, due to popular demand, Chris will be returning in 2020 for the 7th year. The workshops will be suitable both for beginners to wire sculpting and to her many fans who will have the opportunity to make some new designs.
Chris uses both new and recycled metal materials to create her sculptures that are mainly of wild and domestic animals and birds. Each of her works are an original study of anatomy and behaviour and she gives a sense of life and energy to her subjects, ranging from small birds to life-size dogs and horses. This is the approach she will be sharing with course participants.
All courses include entry to the garden plus welcome coffee and biscuits. Unless stated, materials are provided and you will leave each workshop with plenty of reference information.
Please note that workshop fees cannot be refunded if cancelled less than 7 days prior to date of workshop.
