Make a Wire Robin – Afternoon

Back by popular demand! Chris Moss will be leading this half day sculpture course where you will learn how to make a small wire robin to take home.
These sculptures will be made from galvanised wire, so they will be able to be kept outside without going rusty. Materials and tools will be supplied. Please wear practical clothes (no delicate textiles).
We are delighted that Chris will be returning in 2023 for her 10th year of leading wire sculpture workshops here at Stillingfleet Lodge. The workshops will be suitable both for beginners to wire sculpting and to her many fans who will have the opportunity to make a new design. This workshop sold out quickly in 2022, so Early Booking is Recommended.
Chris uses both new and recycled metal materials to create her sculptures that are mainly of wild and domestic animals and birds. Each of her works are an original study of anatomy and behaviour and she gives a sense of life and energy to her subjects, ranging from small birds to life-size dogs and horses. This is the approach she will be sharing with course participants.
All courses include entry to the garden plus welcome coffee and biscuits. Unless stated, materials are provided and you will leave each workshop with plenty of reference information.
